BIRTHDAY PARTIES
RIDING LESSONS
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Our minimum age for lesson students is 8, there is no maximum age, we have many adult students that range from beginner to advanced.
However, we do offer pony rides for children ages 4-7 years old. Pony rides can either be a mini trail ride around the fruit tree groves, or a fun and interactive activity in the arena. Rides are 30-40 minutes long and cost $40. No trial lesson is needed for a pony ride.
AVAILABILITY FOR NEW STUDENTS
All new students are required to take a trial lesson before enrolling in monthly lessons (trial lessons are $75) - this is to ensure that the student likes us, our horses and is a good fit for our program before committing to once a week/monthly lessons. The amount of time that it takes to get a trial lesson depends on your availability and the horse that we have available during the opening. With that said, the appropriate horse must be available as well (due to size and riding level), so our scheduling can be a bit complicated. Lessons usually run for about an hour and a half. EQUIPMENT/CLOTHING
We don't suggest buying anything before taking a lesson, we have helmets at the ranch and tennis shoes will work for awhile (a little tread on them is good if possible). If you stick with lessons, a helmet would be the best thing to buy first (Ovation makes a great helmet for a fair price). We can help with a helmet fitting since we have all different sizes and shapes of helmets at the ranch. Boots would be the next purchase, there is a used tack store in Poway or there are lots of synthetic boots that you can find online or at Target etc. Jeans or yoga type pants are best, if it's hot out students are welcome to wear shorts (as long as they're not riding English) - however, when kids are first learning to post, they are better off in long pants.
** Please remember to wear sunscreen, have a hat with you and bring lots of water when you're out at the ranch - it gets hot in the summer!

Trial Lesson - $75 (if you continue taking lessons with us, you will be credited $25)
Individual lesson - $50
Pony Ride - $40
Monthly Tuition
$200 per month for one lesson per week (four per month)
$360 per month for two lessons per week (eight per month)
CAMPS
HORSEMANSHIP CAMP
At Apollo Equestrian, our camps are focused on all things horse! Students learn how to steer, post at the trot and tack their horses up. We also focus on basic horsemanship such as bathing, learning how to wrap, lunging, turnouts and basic veterinary care. For the more advanced students, we work over poles, finessing the rider's skills at faster speeds and learning lateral movement.
AGE AND AVAILABILITY
Since we keep our camps small and personalized, we set camp weeks by age rather than riding ability. This ensures that riders are able to enjoy their week at camp with students that are similar in age. The first person that signs up, sets the age range for that week of camp. With that said, we can accommodate any age, any week if you have a particular week in mind.
Apollo Equestrian offers camp during holiday breaks throughout the school year, please email us to find a week of camp that works for you! We offer camps every week during the summer, except for the week of July 4th. To reserve your week of camp, please email apolloequestriancw@gmail.com.
New advanced students (who are not already in our riding program) must take a trial lesson before camp. This allows us to gauge their riding ability in order to pair them with an appropriate horse/camp activities.
CAMP HOURS
Camps run from 10:00 am to 2:oo pm. Start and end times can be flexible for working parents, please note this when you sign up for camp.
Water and Gatorade are provided. Please send your camper with a packed lunch, sunscreen and a hat!

Full week of camp - $400
** There is a sibling discount if two or more children from the same family enroll in the same week of camp.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
THE BEST GIFT THERE IS!
Do you have a young equestrian who wants nothing more than to be surrounded by horses on their birthday? Look no further! Apollo Equestrian is happy to provide all of the horse-y activities for your next birthday. Activities include painting the horses, a trail ride around the fruit groves and a trail course in the arena! With that said, participants can do as much or little as they're comfortable with. Every rider is accompanied with an experienced helper.
After a fun-filled ride, party goers are welcome to sit at our covered picnic tables under the shady pepper tree! You are welcome to bring any sweets to serve at the party. AGE AND GROUP
We are happy to run birthday parties for children ages 4 and up. Please note, if your child and their attendees are ages 4-7 we will be slightly limited in the activities that we can do with them and it's better if the groups are smaller (less than 5 children). This ensures the safety of all party goers.
For children aged 8 and up, we can accommodate up to 9 riders.
